I'm particularly interested in this, after seeing a soldering iron type device that can used to clean up fdm prints. Back before epoxy putties became common, plastic figure modelers used a similar tool to sculpt styrene model parts. Such an obvious idea and something that might work really well for organic models. Much less scary than an acetone vapor bath! :-0
